Brewing : Instructions
View the process of tea being steeped

1. The Infuser
In this movie, we'll be brewing tea using what's called an infuser. An infuser is just like a tea bag, except that it allows you to buy loose-leaf tea and brew as much as you like. This infuser is on a chain, so that it can be easily hung inside a tea pot. (But there are also other kinds of infusers that are better for brewing a single cup at a time!)

2. The Tea
This kind of loose leaf Assam tea is of the type that can be purchased at any gourmet food store. Make sure that you store it in an air-tight container prior to brewing. Use 1 teaspoon of loose leaf tea per cup. Be careful not to spill!

3. The Water
After placing the infuser in the teapot, it's time to add the water. When a making tea, the hot water should always be freshly boiled just before being added.

4. Steeping
Allow the tea to steep in the boiling water for about 5 minutes before serving.
